WILMINGTON, Del. (WPVI) -- Authorities are investigating a shooting in Wilmington that wounded a teenage boy.
It happened shortly before 7:00 Thursday night on the 2600 block of North Heald Street.
Initial reports indicate that someone opened fire, striking the teen, who managed to run a block away before collapsing.
The teen boy was rushed to A.I. Dupont Hospital for treatment. No word on his condition.
There is also no word on a motive or any possible suspects.
Earlier, Wilmington officials announced plans to implement new initiatives aimed at curbing gun violence.
