Thief steals $14K in jewelry from vehicle in Queen Village

QUEEN VILLAGE (WPVI) -- Philadelphia police are looking for a thief who was caught on camera stealing over $14,000 worth of jewelry from a parked vehicle in the city's Queen Village neighborhood.

It happened on December 6 around 12:30 a m.

Surveillance shows the male suspect approaching several vehicles on the 800 block of South Howard Street and pulling on door handles.

He finally manages to break into one vehicle - and returns twice within 5 minutes to steal more.

The thief got away with several valuables from inside including $14,500 in jewelry before fleeing towards Beck Street.
