Thief swipes cash, ice cream from Mister Softee trucks

JUNIATA PARK (WPVI) -- Philadelphia police are looking for a thief who broke into several ice cream trucks in Juniata Park.

It happened early Thursday morning inside a secured parking lot for Mister Softee ice cream trucks located on the 900 block of East Lycoming Street.

The suspect was caught on surveillance breaking into several trucks and carrying out bins full of cash and ice cream products.

He then fled the scene in an unknown direction.

Police describe the suspect as a white or Hispanic male with a medium build. He was wearing a dark colored jacket with a stripe on the front and back and light colored pants.
