Tires slashed in Mayfair

MAYFAIR (WPVI) -- Police are investigating after several residents in the Mayfair section of Philadelphia woke up to find the tires on their vehicles slashed.

At least a dozen cars were hit in the area of Tyson Avenue and Battersby Street sometime between late Monday and early Tuesday.

"They got the tires on this whole block, all the way down the street and across the street," said Ashley Neild.

"They're scumbags. What sense is there to go around slashing people's tires?" said Kevin McGuigan

One victim thinks they may have captured a suspect on their home surveillance camera.

Anyone with information about the tire slashings is asked to call Philadelphia Police.
