Toms River man arrested for sexually assaulting minors

TOMS RIVER, N.J. (WPVI) -- A 34-year-old Ocean County man is behind bars on several charges of sexual assault.

Officials announced the arrest Wednesday afternoon.

According to investigators, Daniel Roy Plummer had inappropriate sexual encounters with four minors over several years. Officials say Plummer knew all four victims.

Plummer was arrested Tuesday, after authorities received a tip he'd been endagering the welfare of a child. Police say they also took several computers and a cell phone from Plummer's home, and a storage unit in Toms River.

Plummer has been charged with three counts of aggravated sexual assault, and four charges of endangering the welfare of children. His bail was set at $250,000 dollars.
