Man struck by train along Broad Street Line in Center City

CENTER CITY (WPVI) -- A man was struck by a train along SEPTA's Broad Street Line in Center City Monday morning.

It happened around 11:45 this morning in the area of Broad and Walnut streets.

SEPTA officials say a southbound train struck the man at the Walnut/Locust Station.

The man was taken Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. His condition is unknown at this time.

Officials say the man was in the track area when he was struck, though it's not clear why.

There are some delays along the Broad Street Line but no stoppages.
