Troopers arrest 2 in Delaware armed robbery

NEW CASTLE, Del. (WPVI) -- In New Castle, Delaware, state troopers launched their helicopter following an armed robbery at a Market Place store.

It happened just after 2:00 p.m. Monday at the location on the 700 block of West basin Road.

Authorities say a man armed with a knife threatened the clerk and grabbed the cash.

He then allegedly jumped into a waiting car and drove away.

Troopers caught up with the vehicle near Silverside and Veale roads and took a woman into custody.

The man took off on foot, but was caught about an hour later.
