UPPER CHICHESTER (WPVI) -- A pair of Delaware County parents have been sentenced to two to four years behind bars for forcing their children to live in squalor.

Carole and Vincent McDonald were arrested in October.

At the time police say they found a house of horrors on Bethel Avenue.

Police say their house was filled with trash and animal waste.

Two of their malnourished daughters were placed in protective custody.

Police were called to the home by county case workers, who were being blocked form visiting two children.

This was the third time the McDonalds have been arrested for endangering the welfare of children.

In 2000, four children were removed from the household. In 2003, six more children were taken from the McDonalds. All ten were placed in foster care.
