Van crashes into building, driver faces DUI charges

BELLMAWR, N.J. (WPVI) -- The driver of a van faces DUI charges after crashing into a Camden County business.

The accident occurred around 2:00 a.m. Sunday on the 100 block of East Browning Road in Bellmawr.

Authorities say the crash caused major damage to the first floor of the building which houses a gym called Sleek and Slender.

Residents who live in the apartments on the second floor escaped without injured.

The Red Cross is assisting those displaced.

Police have taken the driver into custody.

The building inspector has temporarily condemned the building.
