Victim ambushed and shot on street in Germantown

Philadelphia Police say gunmen ambushed and shot a man in the city's Germantown neighborhood.

The 23-year-old victim was standing outside his girlfriend's house in the 6300 block of Moylan Street at 10:45 p.m. Tuesday.

Action News is told he was planning to attend a fireworks display when two men walked up and shot him in the head.

He was rushed by family members to Roxborough Memorial Hospital in critical condition.

He was later transferred to Temple University Hospital.

Witnesses reported seeing two men fleeing the scene.

The search for both suspects continues.
