VIDEO: Firefighters rescue dog from burning home in Elsmere

ELSMERE, Del. (WPVI) -- A dog was rescued from a burning house by firefighters in Elsmere, Delaware Wednesday afternoon.

It happened shortly after 1 p.m. on the 1300 block of Kenwood Road.

Firefighters rescued a dog from a burning home in Elsmere, Delaware.

Arriving firefighters found heavy fire on the second floor of the split-level home.

There is no word on the condition of the dog.

No other injuries were reported.

A cause is under investigation.
