Vietnam Veterans Memorial vandalized in Penns Landing

PENNS LANDING (WPVI) -- Police are investigating after someone damaged a portion of the Philadelphia Vietnam Veterans Memorial.

A memorial caretaker told Action News that someone pried off three brass star medallions that line the walls around the memorial.

The medallions were installed to deter skateboarders.

It could cost up to $1,500 dollars to replace them.

Police have not identified any suspects and ask that anyone with information to give them a call.
