Surveillance cameras got a clear look at the face of a suspected robber in the Port Richmond section of Philadelphia.

PORT RICHMOND (WPVI) -- Surveillance cameras got a clear view a violent robbery in the Port Richmond section of Philadelphia.

It happened Thursday at 2:55 a.m.

The suspect jumped over the counter and got into a violent struggle with 2 clerks at the 7-Eleven store in the 3300 block of Aramingo Avenue.

Police say the man was trying to buy cigarettes and became angry after his bank card was rejected.

The employees suffered minor injuries, and the suspect left with the stolen cigarettes.

The suspect is described as a white male, 30 years old, 5"9", medium build, scruffy facial hair, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, red hat and blue jeans.
