A simple stumble inside a museum in Taiwan is being called one of the priciest mistakes ever.

The 12-year-old boy can be seen tripping over a rope barrier at an art exhibit.

He was able to break his fall - by punching a hole into a $1.5 million dollar painting.

The painting is 350 years old and on loan from Italy.

Museum officials are not asking the boy and his family to pay for the damage.

They say they're going to get their insurance company to cover restoration costs.
