EAST MT. AIRY (WPVI) -- Flooding from a broken water main has shut down a busy road in the East Mt. Airy section of Philadelphia.
It happened at 5:45 a.m. on Stenton Avenue between East Sharpnack and East Hortter streets.
Video from Chopper 6 HD showed water flowing from one underneath one side of the street. A large section of the road had buckled.
Police arrived and closed the block to traffic.
Customers in the area told Action News as of 6:30 a.m. their water service had not been affected.
