Wilmington Fire Marshal investigating 2 suspicious fires

WILMINGTON (WPVI) -- The Wilmington Fire Marshal is investigating whether two fires that broke out within hours of each other are connected.

Investigators believe both may have been intentionally set.

The first fire sparked about 8:00 p.m. Sunday in a home on the 700 block of North Madison Street.

12 hours later, crews put out a fire on the 600 block of West 8th Street.

That property was vacant, but firefighters did rescue kittens that were inside.
