A 76-year-old Wilmington man is alive thanks to the quick thinking of a Good Samaritan and now police want to find that hero.

A 76-year-old Wilmington man is alive thanks to the quick thinking of a Good Samaritan and now police want to find that hero and say 'Thank You.'

Investigators say the man collapsed at 6th and North King streets on Wednesday, falling right into the roadway.

According to witnesses, a person nearby jumped into action, administering CPR until paramedics arrived.

"We would like to contact that Good Samaritan and the police department would like to recognize him or her for a deed well done," said Sergeant Donald Bluestein, Wilmington Police.

The victim was taken to St. Francis Hospital in stable condition.
