Witnesses say people fled scene of car fire in S. Philly

A vehicle went up in flames in South Philadelphia. It happened at Mifflin and South Hicks streets at 1:30 a.m. Monday.

SOUTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A vehicle went up in flames in South Philadelphia.

It happened at Mifflin and South Hicks streets at 1:30 a.m. Monday.

Neighbors reported hearing the sound of an explosion, and firefighters arrived to find the vehicle burning.

No one was hurt.

Police say witnesses saw two people flee the scene.

The fire marshal is handling the investigation.
