Woman, 85, killed in Salem County house fire

UPPER PITTSGROVE TWP., N.J. (WPVI) -- New Jersey State Police are investigating after a woman was killed in a house fire in Salem County.

The fire broke out Saturday afternoon in the 400 block of Groff Road in Upper Pittsgrove Township.

Officials said a man was able to escape the fire without injury, but an 85-year-old woman was found dead inside her residence.

No word yet on the cause of the fire.
