A 92-year-old woman died in a house fire in Philadelphia's Brewerytown section on Wednesday morning.

BREWERYTOWN (WPVI) -- A 92-year-old woman died in a house fire in Philadelphia's Brewerytown section.

The fire broke out around 6:50 Wednesday morning in the 2600 block of West Thompson Street.

Firefighters arrived to heavy smoke pouring from the first and second floors.

The victim, a 92-year-old woman, was found dead in a first floor room.

That's also where investigators believe the blaze began.

They quickly got the blaze under control in less than 15 minutes.

Officials say there were no working smoke detectors in the home.

This is the 7th fire fatality in Philadelphia this year.

No word what sparked the blaze.
