WILMINGTON, Del. (WPVI) -- Police in Wilmington are identifying a woman killed in a shooting that also injured her 4-year-old daughter and another woman.

The Wilmington Police Department said Tuesday that 25-year-old Latrice Blackshear of Wilmington died in the shooting, which happened Monday afternoon at a home on West 7th Street.

Police had said Blackshear was found shot in the upper torso. Her 4-year-old daughter was shot in the legs.

Blackshear's son was also inside the home at the time, but he ran out of the house for help.

"He just kept saying 'my mom is shot, my mom is shot my mom is dead.' I kept telling him, 'we are not going to talk like that, let's not talk like that, let's pray on it and make sure mommy is OK,'" family friend Misty Allen said.

Blackshear's daughter was transferred to A.I. DuPont Children's Hospital and remains in stable condition.

A block away, another victim was discovered. 51-year-old Marta Wright had been shot in the leg.

"I heard the shots. When I got a little closer, someone was yelling, 'it's your mom, it's your mom,'" victim's daughter Markelin Wright said.

Wright tells us her mom was an innocent bystander and she is still in the hospital in stable condition.

"The bullet is between her main artery and her leg," Wright said.

On Monday night, friends on the block worked on making signs in honor of the victims including the young mother killed.

The circumstances surrounding the incident remain under investigation.

Anyone with information should call Detective Thomas Curely at 302-576-3625.
