Woman pistol whipped during Rhawnhurst home invasion

RHAWNHURST (WPVI) -- A woman is recovering after she was attacked in her own home in Philadelphia's Rhawnhurst section.

Chopper 6 was over the 2100 block of Strahle Street just after 7:30 a.m. Friday.

Authorities say a man broke into the 49-year-old woman's apartment and pistol-whipped her.

Nothing was taken from the home and the man was arrested.

The victim was treated for cuts at Nazareth hospital.

It is not clear if she knew her attacker.
