Woman struck by car in West Kensington

WEST KENSINGTON (WPVI) -- A woman was hospitalized in critical condition after being struck by a car in Philadelphia's West Kensington section.

It happened around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at C Street and Allegheny Avenue.

Police say the victim is a woman in her 50s. She was taken to Temple University Hospital in critical condition.

The driver of the vehicle did stop at the scene.

Police are investigating.
