HOUSTON (WPVI) -- Photos show Pennsylvania's Task Force One rescuers in Harvey's floodwaters.

The group, which includes part of Philadelphia's fire department, has been in Houston for days.

Their mission is to search abandoned vehicles for bodies, and rescue people.

"Everywhere we went people were thanking us, and they're really appreciative. They can't believe we came from Philadelphia," said Captain Jim Kelly.

The team is self-sufficient.

It has bedding, food and water as well as Philadelphia Fire Department boats and gear.

Task Force One doesn't know when it will return home.

The group is on standby, ready at a moment's notice to respond.
