CHESTER, Pa. (WPVI) -- Delaware County officials are investigating a fatal train versus pedestrian accident in Chester.

It happened around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday on the tracks near Fifth and Kerlin streets.

Officials said a pedestrian was struck and killed by a southbound Amtrak train.

Service is suspended on SEPTA's Wilmington-Newark Line until further notice, due to the ongoing investigation.
