An animal rescue in Puerto Rico is aiming to transport over 200 animals to partner shelters in Maine and Massachusetts following the devastation from Hurricane Maria on the island.

An animal rescue in Puerto Rico is aiming to transport over 200 animals to partner shelters in Maine and Massachusetts following the devastation from Hurricane Maria on the island.

All Sato Rescue is hoping to transport the animals on October 8.

The rescue is currently raising funds online to help with the cost of travel. The online fund has raised over $12,000 thus far.

A video shared on Twitter by the rescue shows hundreds of animal crates waiting on the airport runway.

All Sato Rescue is hoping to eventually be able to transport over 300 more animals.
