Daniel the Duck provides emotional support for nervous fliers

For some, flying can be pretty scary but for a special duck it's smooth riding.

His name is Daniel the duck and he's a support duck for a nervous flyer.

This weekend Mark Essig was on the same flight as Daniel and live tweeted the journey from Charlotte to Ashville, North Carolina.

The duck is officially certified as a support animal and was on board with his owner.

Daniel has special covering for his feet as well as a diaper.

And it appears Daniel likes to fly, wiithout doing all that work.

Coincidentally, Mark who took the pictures wrote a book about another farm animal - pigs.
