VIDEO: Little piglet learns to walk using only front legs
"I didn't think he would live as moms usually abandon the 'sick' ones," said Smith. "Babe did not though. I watched as he figured out how to walk on his front legs in a matter of a few minutes."

A two-week-old piglet named Miracle learned to walk on his two front legs after his back legs never developed.

Breeder Ari Smith said Miracle was born to a litter of six, and that he came out "almost simultaneously with one sibling," with their umbilical cords still attached to their mother. Smith suspected Miracle was squashed in the womb, and didn't have room to grow.

"I didn't think he would live as moms usually abandon the 'sick' ones," said Smith. "Babe did not though. I watched as he figured out how to walk on his front legs in a matter of a few minutes."

Smith said that Miracle fought to survive, pushing siblings out of the way so he could feed.

"The next week was a lot of looking in on him to see if he was still thriving and to my surprise and delight he was!" said Smith. "He's a strong little guy."

The breeders are looking into getting a wheelchair made for Miracle and preparing his future.
