Stray dog follows extreme sports team through rainforest

A stray dog was so thankful for a simple gesture from an extreme sports team that he followed them to the finish line and found a new home.

The group of athletes from Sweden were competing in the Racing World Championship through the Amazon rain forest in in Ecuador.

They were sitting down for a meal when they were approached by a stray dog they named Arthur, after the King.

Since he was hungry, they offered him a meatball.

The pup was so touched by this unknown gesture of human kindness that he refused to leave their side.

He stood by them through the strenuous journey in the jungle and every grueling task they had to complete, Arthur would do the same.

At one point, a team member needed medical attention and Arthur refused to leave his side.

When it came time to canoe the team tried to keep him from the waters, but he jumped in and swam beside them until they brought him on board.

All five team members eventually crossed the finish line

One team member even adopted Arthur and is now giving him a new home and new life in Sweden.
