Police investigate fatal hit and run in Port Richmond

PORT RICHMOND (WPVI) -- Philadelphia Police continue to investigate a hit and run accident that left a man dead.

The incident occurred along the 2100 block of Allegheny Avenue in the city's Port Richmond section around 2:30 a.m. Saturday.

Police were called to the scene for a reported shooting.

Upon arrival, a witness said there was a man in the street without a pulse that was possibly shot.

A second witness says a Dodge sedan, speeding around a stuck tractor trailer may have hit the victim.

Police say the man was hit by a car, and continue to investigate.
