Excitement, enthusiasm, energy at Bernie Sanders rally in Reading, Pa.

READING, Pa. (WPVI) -- Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders spoke to an excited crowd Thursday in Reading, Pennsylvania.

Sanders touched on various issues including getting big money out of politics, combating climate change and his plan to make colleges and universities tuition free.

Supporter who showed up were eager to hear from the candidate, and despite the recent loss to Hillary Clinton in New York's primary, they believe he will win Pennsylvania on Tuesday.

"She does always lead big on the polls, but he always comes up or surprises and catches up, so I believe he has a chance to win here," said Frederick Reyes of Reading.

"Young people they see him and he's trying to appeal to us without trying too hard, and I think that's what appeals to us the most," said Brenna Garcia of Emmaus, Pennsylvania. "That he's not trying too hard like Hillary."

The Sanders campaign visit not only attracted those of voting age, but some parents also brought their children.

"I brought my daughter with me because I think this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and it's living history, and I wanted her to be part of it," said Stephanie Rotenberg of Sinking Spring, Pennsylvania.

Sanders is behind Clinton in the delegate count, and while she is closer to clinching the Democratic Nomination, these voters still believe in their candidate, and have confidence he will be the next president.

"I'm all Bernie. Bernie's kind of chilled out. He doesn't try to start anything. He's very laid back, which I like," said Liliana Aviles of Muhlenberg, Pennsylvania. "I don't like someone who's going to be attacking people for no reason."
