GOP vice-presidential candidate Mike Pence speaks in Bucks, Montgomery counties

KING OF PRUSSIA, Pa. (WPVI) -- Republican vice presidential nominee Mike Pence took a business tour in King of Prussia before holding a rally in Bucks County.

With an American flag suspended from a factory hoist as part of the backdrop, the Indiana governor said hello to an invitation only crowd.

"I just like people to know I'm a Christian, conservative, and a Republican, in that order," Pence said.

Pence got a short tour of Montgomery County based Tech Tube, a maker of high grade products used in medical devices and jet engines. It is a business that grew from 11 to 300 employees.

The inference from the GOP VP nominee is it would do far better under Trump/Pence than Clinton/Kaine.

"This is a family business that is going to continue to struggle under the misadministrations and big government and higher taxes and Obamacare of Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama. The truth of the matter is they like to tell us this economy is the best that we can do," Pence said.

Unsaid at the podium, Trump's slumping poll numbers in Pennsylvania.

Public polls showing an 8 to 10 percent nod in Clinton's direction.

We asked Pence about that.

"Well, the numbers are really all over the map and I think they'll continue to be. This race in so many ways really starts over after Labor Day. We'll have debates on the national stage. We'll be canvassing and continuing to articulate Donald Trump's vision to make America great again," Pence said.
