Vazquez wins special election for Pennsylvania's 197th District

A write-in Democratic candidate has won the special election for Pennsylvania's 197th House District.

Emilio Vazquez missed the ballot deadline, but was still the top choice of voters during Tuesday's election.

Officials tallied the votes Friday morning in Northern Liberties.

The official results are expected to be certified next week.
