CENTER CITY (WPVI) -- Chopper 6 HD was right overhead as a unique kind of photographer with a pretty incredible lens captured views Philadelphia from a never before seen angle.

Only 6abc got a sneak peek as they worked on a special interactive component of the new One Liberty Observation Deck, which will soon be the city's tallest standing attraction.

"It was just remarkable, it was incredible to be up there," said Gavin Farrell, co-owner of Panogs.

And by up there, he means more than 1,000 feet up on the spire that stands atop One Liberty.

Farrell climbed to the top of the spire early Tuesday morning to get those shots.

Gavin Farrell is the Co-Owner of Panogs - a mashup meaning panoramic photographers.

"We do a special niche of panoramic which is hyper-resolution gigapixel experience," he said.

So did he take any selfies while he was up there?

"I did - I took a little video selfie," he said with a smile.

Farrell says it's sort of like Google Earth, but rather than by satellite, his images capture an actual human vantage point.

"And you can literally look out and lean in any direction and seeing each compass point of Philly," he adds.

The shots will be used in 6 zoomable city kiosks at the One Liberty Observation Deck - giving tourists and locals alike the most up close connection to spots around town.

"On every one of those monitors are points of interest - little pindrops with a little pinpoint of what's in the distance. So as you're looking out of the Ben Franklin Bridge, for example, there might be a pindrop on it. Touch that pindrop and it will zoom in," said Evan Evans, One Liberty Observation Deck general manager.

Panogs has done similar work for One World Trade Center and the Seattle Space Needle observatories.

And their work isn't done yet! They are going back at night to get more shots at sundown.

The One Liberty Observation Deck - or Philly From the Top - opens in November.
