VIDEO: Papal playbook
6abc and Action News are ready to bring you all things Pope Francis during his big visit to the city.

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- As we have been reporting for weeks, more than one million people are expected along the Ben Franklin Parkway to take part in the papal events, but many more of you will be watching from home, and 6abc and Action News are ready to bring you all of it.

Pope Francis arrives at Philadelphia International Airport on Saturday morning. This will be the first of his appearances in Philadelphia and Action News will be there and on the air, bringing it to you live on 6abc.

Our live coverage continues throughout the weekend, but you don't have to be in front of the television to see it. Make sure you have the 6abc news app, because that is where we will be streaming every event as they take place.

6abc Vice President and News Director Tom Davis explains, "It's important to be live, it's important to be present. This is one of the biggest stories that this city is going to see, probably in the next decade, and we're committed, just like Action News is on every story, to bring you the fullest amount of coverage we can."

The largest crowds will turn out Saturday and Sunday along the Parkway, and we have it covered.

Monica Malpass, Rick Williams and Cecily Tynan will be in a special studio overlooking the action, Brian Taff and Sharrie Williams will be on the Parkway closer to the stage and altar, and Action News reporters will be on the ground with the faithful.

All of us will be sharing our experiences on social media, with Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. And that is where we want your help too.

Send us your pictures and videos, tell us what you're seeing and experiencing. Use #6abcAction on social media, or email us at jointheaction@6abc.com.

This is going to be a big weekend for you and for us, and we look forward to experiencing it together.
