Philadelphia Archdiocese announces more parish mergers possible

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- The Philadelphia Archdiocese announced that another round of churches are up for possible merger.

An email sent out Sunday said that 14 parishes will be reviewed.

They include five in Philadelphia's Port Richmond section, six in Montgomery County, three in Delaware County.

Membership numbers and the economic stability of the parish will be reviewed.

Final results will be announced in 2015.
