Registration opens for World Meeting of Families in Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Registration is now open for the World Meeting of Families in Philadelphia.

On Monday afternoon, Archbishop Charles Chaput updated progress for the September 2015 event at the General Assembly at the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops in Baltimore.

Chaput says while not yet official, a papal visit is likely.

He says there have been many hopeful signs that Pope Francis plans to attend.

The World Meeting of Families runs September 22nd to 27th.
