Route 401 in Chester Co. reopens following accident investigation

EAST NANTMEAL, Pa. (WPVI) -- A portion of Route 401 in Chester County was closed for a brief period after two cars collided.

The accident occurred around 2:20 p.m.

A dump truck collided with a delivery van, pushing the van onto its side in a ditch on the side of the road.

Route 401 was closed between Route 100 and Font Road for about three hours.

One person was transported from the scene. No word on their condition.

Officials are investigating
