Crowds watch eclipse at Wills Eye Hospital
Crowds watch eclipse at Wills Eye Hospital. Ali Gorman reports during Action News at 5 p.m. on August 21, 2017.

For the most part, people outside Wills Eye Hospital in Center City watched Monday's solar eclipse through the selfie mode on a smartphone or with the approved eclipse glasses.

But those glasses became scarce in the morning.

Wills Eye handed out 2,000 more free pairs and they were gone in an hour.

Action News health reporter and Registered Nurse Ali Gorman has the story.
