East entrance of The Gallery closing Friday night

CENTER CITY (WPVI) -- There is a change coming to The Gallery mall in Center City.

The east entrance between 8th and 10th streets will shut its doors at 8 p.m. Friday.

Those who use the SEPTA station in that building will need to use another entrance.

The closing is part of a revitalization project that Mayor Michael Nutter signed off on in the summer.

The project will bring new shops, restaurants, and entertainment venues.
