What's the Deal: Items built to last a lifetime
When you're spending money, it's about the search for quality and finding things that are made well so you won't have to spend more money replacing them.

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- When you're spending money, it's about the search for quality and finding things that are made well so you won't have to spend more money replacing them.

Money Talks News compiled a list of items that are not only built to last, but also include a lifetime guarantee or warranty.

First, from bags to coats to outdoor gear - The North Face guarantees its products for the expected life of that product. To put that in perspective, they expect sleeping bags to last about 70 years.

Doc Marten shoes and boots come with a lifetime guarantee for your lifetime - not just the lifetime of the product.

Backpacks can really take a beating. And JanSport wants yours to last as long as it takes for your kid to go from kindergarten to college and beyond. It if breaks down, they will fix it, replace it or refund it.

Luggage is also known for getting bumped and bruised during travel. Briggs & Riley bags have a lifetime repair guarantee that even covers damage caused by an airline.

The iconic Zippo lighters have been around since 1932 and if you've had yours since then and it's not working, they will fix it for free.

Finally, if you have invested in colorful, cast iron Le Creuset cookware and something goes wrong, their lifetime warranty says they will replace "defective" cookware free of charge.
