Subscription boxes have become a big retail trend where you get a curated box of fun things to try delivered right to your door.

And while some are for novelty, others are about necessity and if you choose those services wisely, you could save yourself money.

Paige Wolf is the author of "Spit That Out." She's all about being green and saving it too. She says these practical boxed subscription services save you time, gas and cash.

"These are basic necessities that you can get cheaper and more conveniently, right at your door," said Paige.

And it doesn't get more basic than toilet paper.

"You get a huge case and it comes down to 80 cents a roll right to your door," said Paige. "I used to spend an hour and a half to do a grocery shop and now I can get the things I need right to my door."
