$1K lottery ticket dropped into Salvation Army red kettle

A Pennsylvania Lottery player made a big donation to those in need this holiday season.

Someone dropped a winning instant ticket into a Salvation Army red kettle in Erie last Tuesday.

That Fantastic 10s instant game ticket was worth $1,000.

Salvation Army officials say they have seen donations of $10 or $20 in winning tickets before, but never a prize this big.

The donor has remained anonymous.
