6abc presents donation to Philabundance

Thanksgiving is a little more than a week away and 6abc is joining the effort to help families who would normally be without food on the holiday.

On behalf of the station and The Disney Corporation, 6abc President and General Manager Bernie Prazenica presented a check for $15,000 to benefit Philabundance, our region's largest hunger relief organization.

Mr. Prazenica explains, "Our parent company, The Walt Disney Company, is making a very large donation nationally through Feeding America. And through them, we're able to donate $15,000 to Philabundance to make a difference here in our community. SO we're really excited about that."

Lindsey Hughes from Philabundance says, "This is going to help us provide much needed food to hundreds of children and their families across the region. So we're really excited about this donation, we're really appreciative that childhood hunger is being top of mind right now."
