Blogger says all weddings should be kid-friendly

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Kids and weddings. Some brides and grooms shut it down as soon as they put that stamp on the invite.

But a new blog is going viral, with one mom saying now matter what the couple wants - all weddings should be kid friendly.

Laurel Elis says that when you tell parents their kids aren't invited, you're essentially telling mom and dad that they aren't welcome. She says the "no kid" rule puts mom and dad in a few uncomfortable spots, from alienating members of the family to searching for childcare.

She says the decision to bring kids should be the parent's, not the bride and groom's, and most of the time they leave the little ones at home anyway.
