Cancer patient passes away after hospital wedding

CAMDEN, N.J. (WPVI) -- A cancer patient has passed away almost two weeks after she was married at Cooper University Hospital in Camden.

According to her father, Lakeisha Maynor passed away Tuesday afternoon at her home.

Though, Maynor was being treated for cancer, it didn't stop her from marrying Vercy DuPont back on September 3rd.

Their daughters were in attendance.

Camden Mayor Dana Redd was inspired by the bride's spirit and conducted the ceremony.
