Community garden project

WEST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A day of gardening was underway in West Philadelphia.

Volunteers with the F.S. Foundation helped transform this outdoor space 55th and Vine.

The community garden project is all about sprucing up local neighborhoods.

The group spent the afternoon weeding, mulching and cleaning the grounds.

The goal is to turn this space into a functional place that will inspire residents to interact with each other.
