PENN'S LANDING (WPVI) -- More than 1 million dollars in grants will pay for projects to protect and enhance the Delaware River.
The National Fish and Wildlife and William Penn Foundations presented a check Wednesday to the Delaware River Restoration Fund.
The money will pay for 12 projects that include restoring natural habitats and protecting critical sources of drinking water.
The Delaware provides drinking water to more than 15 million people in cities including Philadelphia, Camden, Wilmington, and New York.
