Dozens jump into ocean for A.C. Polar Bear Plunge

ATLANTIC CITY (WPVI) -- It's a New Year's Day tradition that's sure to send chills down your spine!

Atlantic City's annual Polar Bear Plunge saw dozens jumping into the Atlantic Friday morning.

Some wore their bathing suits while others came in costume.

This year there was quite a gift from Mother Nature.

The ocean temperature above 50 degrees was way above normal for early January.
