Freshman Community Service Day

WILMINGTON, Del. (WPVI) -- Students in Delaware took their lessons out of the classroom and into the community all in an effort to pay it forward.

St. Georges Technical High School held its Freshman Community Service Day Thursday.

The students performed all kinds of good deeds in and around Wilmington.

Action News was there as students studying plumbing helped with landscaping and reset grave markers at the Riverview Cemetery.

The community service is also to expose students to work related to their career interests.
